Troop Deployment Extensions – Another Wrong-Headed
Decision By the Ruling Cabal
Clackamas, OR - BELIEVERS AGAINST THE WAR condemns the latest dictate passed down by the Bush regime that will add three-month extensions to all Army deployments in Iraq and Afghanistan. This latest ruling by our self-appointed emperor is a direct result of his earlier “troop surge” decree that sent an additional 30,000 troops into Iraq.
The solution to the deteriorating situation on the ground in Iraq is to bring our troops home immediately – not to extend their deployments. Our troops are stuck in the middle of a civil war, and leaving them left to languish there, even one day longer, is ungodly, immoral and illegal.
Dave Brownlow, BELIEVERS AGAINST THE WAR Executive Director, said, “As their grip on reality slips ever further into the abyss, it is becoming obvious that these guys haven’t got a clue what they are doing. Their occupation is a disaster, so they send in a surge of troops. The surge isn’t working, so they extend deployments. This is like watching a slow motion train wreck.”
Brownlow continued, “George Bush has betrayed his oath to defend the U.S. Constitution. He has committed the war crimes of genocide and mass murder against the Iraqi people, and should be sitting in front of a war crimes tribunal – not flying around in his personal 747 spreading more lies and deceit to the American people. We need for our Congress to do their job by shutting down this rogue regime.”
Denny Jackson, Legislative Liaison for BELIEVERS AGAINST THE WAR, said, “Even the shameful exploitation of patriotic young Americans, by extending their terms to serve the globalist objectives of the neocon Bush administration, doesn't seem to be enough to spur the newly-empowered Democrats to put a stop to it. The collusion of both major parties in this madness is a betrayal of concerned American voters who clearly expressed their will in the last election and are demanding an end to it. Our troops must come home NOW!
Tim Titrud, Legislative Liaison for BELIEVERS AGAINST THE WAR, said, "Proverbs 8:36 says ‘Those who hate God love death.’ This would explain why President Bush (who, along with his father, is a member of the Luciferian organizations, Bohemian Grove and the ‘brotherhood of death,’ Skull and Bones) would hasten the death of more U.S. soldiers with not only redeployments, troop surge, but now this troop-abusive 3-month extension of tour.”
BELIEVERS AGAINST THE WAR strongly advises the Congress to retake their war-making powers; cut off all funding for the U.S. occupations in Iraq and Afghanistan, and immediately bring our troops home! BELIEVERS AGAINST THE WAR also implores all American Christians to pray for an end to this immoral war, and to loudly and firmly condemn all unprovoked U.S. aggression in foreign countries to their Congressmen, media outlets and churches.
